Suchitoto Day Trip

The name Suchitoto in the Salvadoran indigenous language Nahautl means "Place of birds and flowers." Suchitoto is a city of culture and history , a colonial town located on the shore of Lake Suchitlán.  You will find beautiful waterfalls, panoramic views, museums and art galleries, local traditions, great restaurants, night life, and an attractive weekend visit.
Suchitoto is a great place to go on the weekends when the beach scene gets hectic and you are exhausted from surfing!
Every Sunday there is a great handcraft and food fair called "Asi es mi tierra" (this is my country) and would be a great activity for anybody on a surf trip in El Salvador. It is 2 hours from the coast so it would be best to get an early morning surf and then take off for Suchitoto
